The slow carb breakfast has been advocated by Timothy Ferris is his book titled “The Four Hour Body.” All trials of the slow carb meals have come up with the same finding that breakfast is important and should not be skipped. In fact, it was seen that greatest effective fat loss was found among those candidates, who ate a slow carb diet menu within half an hour of waking up, every morning.
Lots of traditional breakfast favorites are ruled out on a slow carb diet breakfast menu. All the things, which are usually eaten during breakfast such as pancakes, cereals, fruit, juice, and bread are high in sugars, refined grains and fast carb, therefore, have no place in the slow carb breakfast. Beverages which should be avoided with slow carb diet breakfast are usual soft drinks, milk and fruit juice. People opting for the low carb diet breakfast are sometimes confused about the food they can have for breakfast. There are several food items which one can eat, and are similar to the slow carb breakfast.
Eggs can be included in the low carb breakfast, and can be eaten in the form of omelets, scrambled, fried eggs or eggs Florentine
prepared with frozen spinach. Cereals are typically high in carbohydrates but there are some cold cereals, such as Special K, which come in low carb form and therefore can be included in the low carb diet breakfast. It is even better to include, some high fiber cereals such as Fiber One and All Bran. Biscuits, muffins, and other breads can be made from almond meal, flax meal and other low carb ingredients for a low carb breakfast.
